I came across this on the Crye Precision website and got a good laugh out of it. Thought it would be a nice thing to share with you guys.
Some people (mostly hippies) believe certain inanimate objects possess free will and thus should be done away with before they learn how to attack us all. To promote their irrational and anti-constitutional belief they often use the slogan “Guns Kill,” insinuating that guns are responsible for crimes, not human beings.
By us using their own dumb slogan “Guns Kill” and simply specifying a general group of people who the inanimate objects supposedly target, their own argument is reversed on itself in a humorous way and cosmic balance is restored.
If the shirt said “Guns Kill People” would the hippies object? Of course not. Are hippies not people? Of course they are (we know, we know, hippies don’t smell like people, they don’t have the typical human capacity for rational thought, and their opposable thumb is hardly used... But biologically speaking, they are still human and deserve to be treated with human decency). We’re obviously not advocating violence against anyone (including hippies). We are advocating rational thought and this always makes hippies very upset.
Hippies are mad about this shirt because they are being made the butt of their own joke; nothing more, nothing less. No one is “offended” or “concerned”, they’re just mad.
If you feel offended or concerned by this shirt you might actually be a hippie and not know it. If this is the case you should lie down, try to remain calm, and remember what you do to contribute to human progress. Think hard. If you can find a single thing of value that you create or produce focus on it - and you may be able pull yourself out of the spiral, potentially saving you and your loved ones from a lifetime of dealing with matted hair, BO, and cheeseball political theories. Good luck.
