[Michigans Northwestern Airsoft]

We are sorry to announce that due to increased spam we are being forced to block all IP addresses in the ranges 180.246.*.* and 180.254.*.* .

What this means is if your IP address is between 180.246.0.0 and 180.246.255.255, or 180.254.0.0 and 180.254.255.255, then you will no longer be able to access the MichNAA forums. This will effect some people in Indonesia, China, Japan, and people using proxy servers from those countries. If you are currently using a proxy that runs through those IP addresses then we suggest you select proxy servers outside of these ranges.

I went ahead and made some new "Off-Topic Boards" to hopefully spur some more activity.

1) Work, Jobs, & Business: For talking about your job, help finding work, or whatever. This board is only viewable by registered members for privacy.

2) Politics & News: For flame wars and trolling; but seriously its for talking about exactly what it sounds like "News and Politics". This board is also only viewable by registered members for privacy.

If anyone can think of anything else that needs it's own board then post about it here.

I created this "Fourm News" board and consolidated all old news posts into it. All further MichNAA news, updates, and changes will be posted her. I hope this will make things less cluttered in the "About MichNAA" section.

I'm trying to make the forum easier to navigate and less confusing to new members before this summer (2013), so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

[EDIT] The "Local Retailer Outlet" board has been renamed and made a sub-board of the MichNAA "Classifieds".

[EDIT] I rewrote some of the forum rules to make them more clear. The ranking system has also had some changes to make it simpler.

I got on the admin account and updated the forum to the new version of proboards. I don't like it personally but it was going to be forced on us May 1st so we may as well take the plunge now. So if you have problems direct them to the Mod Q&A section.

I've altered the rules section and disposed of the information about "Karma", since Proboards ver5 no longer uses karma system.

I'd also like to take this chance to encourage everyone to make a post once a week. Lots of new members don't come back because no one else is posting; so help keep members coming back by making this forum look like its alive.

As of July 1st 2013, I'll be stepping down as forum admin and looking for someone to replace me and/or just letting MichNAA take it's natural course without administration of any kind.

It's been fun but I'm just going to have to accept the fact, like the previous admins, that there are not enough airsoft players in North West Michigan who are interested in keeping this an active forum for the region.

If your looking to contact any of the teams listed here:

• The Asshats have their own private forum and can be contacted on MiA.
• AAMTU can be contacted through Michigan Tech student services.
• Doom may continue to post on MichNAA, but can also be found publicly on the MiA team boards.
• FSA isn't keen on using online contact and are best reached in person at events, however there are reports that they may be inactive at this point.
• TOAST can be contacted on MiA, however they may also be reachable through some members of the NMA forums.
• The Loadout is reachable through their own forums, however it appears they are also relatively inactive at this point.
• I have no clue about Second String Airsoft; I haven't heard anything about these guys in half a year, so I'm not sure if they're even active or not.

I would also recommend that if you are just joining MichNAA, then please defer to MiA the forum for everything airsoft in Michigan.

Everyone is welcome to keep posting and I hope maybe MichNAA can continue to help players in the region find places to play. Best of luck to everyone and keep slinging that plastic!

Sorry for retracting my previous statement, however I am postponing my resignation as admin due to the opening of the new TCP field which promises a new influx of players to our forums. If a more qualified admin offers to take my place, or this influx does not occur, then I will follow through with my resignation.

If anyone makes it to a TCP game, let new players know they have a home online and it's called MichNAA.

To help with the influx of new members Ogre of the OCAA has volunteered to become a Global Moderator. For anyone that doesn't know him, Ogre is responsible for hosting the only FREE big events in northern Michigan and is a major member of the current airsoft community. Also by request, guests are now able to access all areas of the board except for the individual Team Boards.

^ I lied, just noticed most of the Off-topic boards and the Airsoft Discussion board were not viewable by guests. I've fixed the problem and now Guests can view everything except Team Boards.

Due to the lack of new players we expected the TCP games to generate, and the fact that I will not be in the region frequently, I have decided it is time to honor my previous statement and step down as the MichNAA forum administrator.
